Introduction

Welcome to The Financial 30 Challenge!

Over the next few weeks you will make financial and spiritual progress towards becoming a faithful steward.

Our goal is that this challenge will help you re-establish or develop new habits that you can sustain over the months and years ahead. This is not a crash diet — it’s a guide to healthy routines, practical steps and biblical principles that can change your life.

Some of the changes will be more drastic than others, and you’ll make sacrifices along the way, but each is intentional, focused on reaching a specific goal and bringing you closer to living your purpose as a biblical steward.

At the end of the challenge, you will have more money saved, less debt, a budget and a deeper understanding of God’s plan for your life and finances. Of course, like with any challenge, you’ll get out of this what you put into it, so take it seriously and dedicate the time and energy necessary to make it fruitful. Allow the Lord to remove bad habits or mindsets you may have as He reveals truth and brings peace to your financial situation.

Each action item is accompanied by a devotional, an article by Chuck Bentley (unless otherwise noted), and a video or resource that will enhance your learning and experience. Many of the days also reference guides, worksheets, or trackers. You can find all these in the Extra Resources section at the bottom of the menu to your left. Before starting, you may want to familiarize yourself with these resources so you can take advantage of all the tools provided. Do not get overwhelmed. During the next 30 days you will walk through everything one step at a time!

Each daily task will take a different amount of time, so you may want to work on several days at once or dedicate a specific time to do the study each day. This is your challenge; find what works for you!

Finally, tell someone you are doing this! Accountability will be essential on your journey, so don’t try to do it alone.
